Privacy

Arca collects no data about you. Everything you do in it stays on your device.

The app

• There are no accounts and nothing to sign in to.
• There are no analytics, no ads, and no code from any other company.
• Arca has no servers. Your settings, games in progress, statistics and trophies are stored on your device and are never sent anywhere.
• The daily Quinque puzzle is worked out on your device from the date. Nothing is downloaded.
• The one notification Arca can send — a note when the daily word arrives — is off until you turn it on, and is scheduled by your device itself. It is not a push notification and no server is involved.

What Apple does

Purchases

Premium is bought through Apple’s App Store. Apple handles the payment; Arca never sees your name, email address or card. It only asks Apple whether Premium has been bought.

Backups

If you back up your device, Arca’s data is part of that backup, under your own Apple account. Arca can’t see it.

Crash reports

If you have chosen to share analytics with app developers — in your device’s Settings ▸ Privacy & Security ▸ Analytics & Improvements — Apple may pass on anonymous crash reports. They don’t identify you, and you can turn them off there.

Apple’s own handling of your information is covered by Apple’s privacy policy.

Deleting your data

Settings ▸ Statistics ▸ Reset Statistics clears your recorded games. Deleting the app removes everything. There is nothing held anywhere else to delete.

If this policy changes, the new version will be posted here with a new date.
